HELP! I AM UNDER ATTACK!

Right now I have a fleet of jet planes flying in my ear!

I have suffered with Tinnitus for many years, but during the past few months I have had three terrible attacks. In fact, I am suffering one now as I write this article on this malady. Usually, I can handle it as most of the time it is like the sound of steam in the background, or a soft whistle. But today it is SCREAMING MISERY, and I don’t know how to stop it. I try to ignore it but it is overwhelming. It is so LOUD that it is now interfering with the the t.v.. When my wife speaks to me I have to tell her to speak up in order to understand what she is saying. I do not know why it started today, or more importantly how to stop it. I am very busy right now as a health insurance broker, helping clients with questions, opening new accounts, and working at the computer for many hours in order to pass all the necessary exams with carriers in order be certified for the new open enrollment period starting in October. What I am saying now is REAL! It is primarily in my left ear, but my right ear is echoing with a deeper tone.

Is there anyone out there who has a similar affliction? I know I must handle it, and somehow I do, but the last two times recently it made it difficult to go to sleep. I had to keep the t.v. on just to try and take my mind off the attack I was suffering. I had planned to write this message on another topic today, but I wanted to reach out to see what others have experienced. Please–if you can tell me if you have had attacks like this, let me know. If you have any suggestions that would help that would be greatly appreciated. Except for this damnation I am healthy with a low bodyweight, low blood pressure, and no other problems I am aware of.

Looking forward to hearing from ANYBODY who understands. I have asked my wonderful spouse if she can hear anything and she replied in the negative, but for me it is POSITIVELY UNBEARABLE.
